Winter Hunts

Our winter hunts start around the middle of February each year and continue on until the end of April, We discontinued doing hunts in January as it just to cold for the guest. As the caribou migrate you will be able to access this annual migration using snowmobiles. Along with a Caribou hunt, each hunter will be treated to some ptarmigan hunting ($50.00 for license) if requested. Each person is entitled to 25 birds a day or for a maximum of 50.  You will also be give an opportunity to do some ice fishing in season. If you have never used a snowmobile for hunting than you are missing out on a truly once in a lifetime experience. During the winter hunt you will also be able to access the Labrador Snowmobile Trail system adding a snowmobile trip to your caribou hunt. Snowmobiles are used during these hunts these provide a lot of Mobility enabling the hunters  to get to the caribou herds. Usually we see lots of caribou during the winter hunts.
